    Hi so im looking to buy a harddisk to put into my g73 for recording games i got the g73 with a hybrid 500 gig HDD so im guessing there is another spot for another hdd right?. is it possible to put in a 1tb hdd next to the 500 gig one inside?. and also what type of harddisk would be the best for recording gaming onto? thanks.

    There is room for a second HDD,yes, you will need a cradle for it though,look around on the forum and you'll find a link to somewhere to buy it.
    about the capacity can't really say...
    And what do you mean recording games ? you mean installing ?

    yes im gettin it to fraps games!. is it hard to take the laptop apart?

    To add a hard drive, yes super hard.

    1) Flip laptop over.
    2) Unscrew the two screws on the biggest removable panel.
    3) Add HDD :).

    It's a standard SATA 2.5" drive bay as well, so any 2.5" drive will fit in it.

    As for capacity, I know someone was working on something larger than 500 gig, but I'm not sure if they're available yet. Any capacity should work however.

    they have 1 TB notebook drives now >.> Yep, you're good to go.

    And it's a little bit of a pain, but you can use velcro or some kind of soft padding to soft mod the additional drive into the bay.

    pm'ed you megadeth, and you're putting a HDD JUST for fraps o.o sheesh I might have to take a look at it then....
    oh and you'll find a video somewhere on youtube/and here showing exactly what you'll have to do, ok guy in the movie swaps HDD with a SSD,but basically same process
