I recently decided to merge the two partitions on the second drive on my G73JH via the Windows disk management tool. Things seemed to work well but today the drive isn't showing up at all, no warning, haven't had any issues.

I tried double checking the actual drives and seeing if they were locked in right, and they were fine.

Any ideas? Certainly hope it isn't dead. :x

Does it show up in the BIOS?

If it does not show up, remove it and put it back in....

If that does not help, then it might be dead.
YOu could have it tested buy a store maybe/??

Nope, however I just tried switching from AHCI to IDE in the BIOS and Windows recognized it being there but requires initialization. =/ I'm not sure if I should do that and just recover the data, or what. Switching back to AHCI causes the drive to disappear again.

EDIT: Take back what I said, even with the switch it doesn't show up in the BIOS. I guess it's probably dead then.

Well, spoke to ASUS and after several phone calls they decided I needed to RMA my unit. So, off it goes....

Reinstalling 300GB of Steam stuff is gonna suuuuuuck. :(
