    Hello all,

So I'm still not able to get audio out to my tv through HDMI. I have tried downloading drivers from Realtek ( Realtek) and ATI ( ATI Catalyst? HDMI Audio Driver) to no avail.

Now, I am relatively dumb when it comes to stuff like this, so if there are additional steps that I need to take to get this to work after plugging in the cable, would someone be kind enough to walk me through it? Thanks in advance for any help!

    Edit: Oh yea, I have a G73JH-BST7. :)

Have you tried to change the sound output in the control panel?
Control panel > Hardware and sound > sound > select the tv and set as default

Under control panel>sound>playback I only see 2 entries for Speaker(High Definition Audio Device), and one for Digital Audio(S/PDIF).

None of them get the audio out to my TV though :(.

There's a Realtek driver for the HDMI that you probably need to install. There should be a device for the HDMI output once you install the Realtek HDMI driver.

Well, I did download the Realtek drivers (I linked it in my first post), but nothing showed up.

    This is frustrating :(

I just kind of went thru this...

I updated my video drivers to 11.10, then later tried to play a movie thru the HDMI, with no sound playing. So I re-installed the 64bit Windows7 Exe only file (r2.66), then installed the ATI HDMI Audio Device driver (r2.64). Finally, I had to select the Realtek Hi Def driver option inside of the player I use (Arcsoft Total Media Theater).

That's the process that worked for me - I actually just now finished a movie playing thru the HDMI perfectly! Good luck.

There are 2 Realtek driver packages. One is for Realtek HD Audio (main sound drivers for speakers) and then there's an HDMI driver package. The HDMI driver package should add a Realtek HDMI Output audio device to your "Playback Devices" options.

That's the one that will allow you to output sound via HDMI. Just installing the main Realtek audio drivers is not enough because it doesn't include the HDMI drivers.

    *Edit*
And I have the G73JH-BST7 model also, and can confirm that you should have the following 3 outputs for audio if you install both Realtek packages:
Realtek HDMI Output - ATI HDMI Audio
Speakers - Realtek High Definition Audio
Realtek Digital Output - Realtek High Definition Audio

You can get both packages here:
    http://www.realtek.com/downloads/do...=24&Level=4&Conn=3&DownTypeID=3&GetDown=false

Main package is the main audio drivers, but make sure you get the latest HDMI driver 2.64 version for HDMI support.
