For some time, i have been having problems with realtek and the HDMI audio. it keeps switching to the laptop speakers randomly when i unplug the HDMI and plug it when i'd watch movies. Now, the HDMI audio is not in the HD Audio Manager. Is this some kinf of bug? Is there a fix?

    Need more info/clarification...

The sound will automatically switch to the laptop speakers when you unplug the HDMI, and no it won't show up in the HD audio manager when it is disconnected.

Now if you are talking about it not switching back to using the HDMI audio when you plug it back in, then there is some issue yes and it seems to stem from using the ATI rather then the realtek hdmi driver.

Also I would say to always unplug the HDMI before turning off whatever it is plugged into, that seems to cause issues at times as well.

when i plug the hdmi, it still uses the speakers. and some random times while plugin, sound would disappear and the HDMI tab in the realtek HD audio manager will disappear to. i have also been experiencing random fps drops while watching with hdmi plugged in. movies get choppy then back to normal then after some time gets choppy again. what could be causing this?

i found that it was caused by HWinfo. Whenever i leave it on when HDMI is plugged in, it somehow disables the HDMI Audio
