    Hello

I've got a new Samsung SyncMaster P2370 screen for my G73jh.

I've updated to the newest video driver.

When I use the VGA out, the option 1920X1080 is available in Catalyst Control Center though.

But the max resolution option available is only 1680X1050 from CCC, when I use HDMI out.

Does anyone know how to fix the problem and make the display resolution 1920X1080 available with HDMI connection?

    Thank you!

The input resolution of the screen is probably limited to 1680x1050.

So ... when connected via VGA you can get 1920x1080 but ONLY through CCC and not Windows Display>Screen Res, but when connected via HDMI you can only get 1680x1050 in CCC, but 1920x1080 in Windows Screen Res??

    Did I get that right?

When I use VGA, I get both 1920X1080 through both CCC and Windows Display>screen Res.

When I use HDMI, I get ONLY 1680X1050 in CCC and I get 1920x1080 in Windows Display>screen Res. However, when I tried to change the res through windows display menu (HDMI here) to 1920x1080, it reverts back to 1680X1050. . .

The input resolution of the screen shows 1920x1080 on the manual the screen comes with . . .

Person above said it. Are you sure the input resolution of your HDMI isn't just 1680*1050?

Yes, I just double checked. 1920X1080 should work with HDMI input.

I had the same problem with VGA, once the monitor is hooked up right click it in CCC in the bottom part of the "Desktop & Displays" section and click "Configure". This will bring you to a "Graphics" subsection. After you're here uncheck the box in the monitor attributes area and manually select 1920X1080 as the max res. I had this problem on a 1680X1050 monitor that would only get recognized as a 1400X1050 monitor ;) post back and let me know if that worked for you!

    Nope, it didn't work ><

still only showed 1680X1050 as the max. res.

1920X1080 isn't on the list for selection :(
