I bought an Asus g73jh bst7 from ebay as it was listed as used
I thought it had no problems , the seller told me when the power button is pressed all lights light up but nothing comes on screen.
yesterday I got the laptop and i tried to turn on but same result.

Finally found : the vbios is corrupted , so I will reflash the vbios and bring my beast back to life.

    UPDATE!!!!!!!!!!
My BEast is back . YAY

If you don't have ram it won't post so how did you change where the ram is? What brand and speed of ram? You need ddr3 1066 or better.

You absolutely need one RAM stick in slot one or three fort he laptop to post. Check the picture here: http://forum.notebookreview.com/8005189-post2.html. I tested this myself and if at least slot one or three isn't populated, the laptop won't POST.

It could be a bad stick of ram. If not your other two options are motherboard and or GPU.

It sounds like a dead GPU. I received a DOA laptop from Newegg with the same problems, and one of my previous laptop had the same symptoms.

Fortunately though, there are posts of replacing the GPU on the 73, if you're up to it. Honestly though, if it isn't a GPU issue, you could be facing throwing money away.

I'd say walk away from it and just buy a new laptop.

    Blind flash instructions are here.
    Here is the whole thread.

The files are down. Send me a PM with your mail adress and I will send it to you.
Or you can do it yourself.
    There are 3 files.
    (atiflash.exe, AUTOEXEC.bat, BR38352.001)
The BR38352.001 is the stock vBIOS.
    The autoexec batch just contains
    atiflash -p 0 -f BR38352.001
    echo off > success.txt

    Good luck

IDK, if your GPU is dead! It's all at your own risk!

You don't have to do any input. Look at the autoexec.bat and you will see the 2 lines. This commands should be executed automatically. Don't you grow up with the good old DOS? :)
You need to prepare a bootable USB-stick as described in the link.
Then you put the 3 files on it. At first I would test the procedure at another PC (for testing please exclude the rom file BR38352.001 from the USB stick - I'm sure you don't wanne initiate a forceflash to another PC :))
If the blindflash is succed, you will have a file 'success.txt' on the stick. That's just info. If not, then your flash didn't even start.

    first of all: STOP!

I just had a laptop where it would start up, and then ater a couple of seconds, shutdown. Turned out to be bad memory sockets on the motherboard, and needed a new mobo.

Can I get the serial number of this notebook, evgasr2?

First, i would wait for Chastity, what she can tell you about a possible RMA history of this notebook.

Which RAM slots you are using now? The hidden one?
    Make a picture.
IMHO at least 2 slots should be filled.
Where are you from? I have a spare GPU laying around here.

Mmh. I would try the blindflash.
    What else could you try?
Has your USB stick a LED? You would see the load action.

I have my Asus 5870m here, because I swapped to the 6970m.

As you can read in the blindflash guide, you may not boot from your USB now because bootorder.
    What drives are connected now?
I have connected a usb stick in the bottom left port and turned on the notebook.
Now you have to press ESC repeately (at least 5-10 seconds). Then this boot selection shows up. My stick is the 2. entry. Navigate with arrow keys. Your odd drive may be at first.
So I would try with pressing down key 1 time and press ENTER.
Look if the USB stick is loading and let do the blindflash.
If not redo procedure and pressing down key 2 times ...

That's normal. If you enable "Showing system protected files" (IDK the correct name) in folder options, you will see the DOS bootfiles (e.g. IO.sys, config.sys).
    I have Bootlog files too.

But if there is no success file, then the previous flash command wasn't executed. This is your only option to check if the flash was done.
Have you checked the correct booting of your stick on another PC?

Your only check is the existing success.txt file!
This is just the task of it.
You have to be sure to boot from this stick and wait at least 3-5min. The flash shouldn't take much time, but it is safer.
Then you can check this stick on another PC for existance of this file.

If you have a file and get still no screen, then sth. different may be wrecked.
It could also be, that the GPU board is defect. I think, a flash wouldn't work then too.
