    As the title says, my laptop screen sometimes turn out totally blank WHITE, then after 1-60s, it becomes normal (normal means displaying windows environment scene) without any warning about Nvidia driver.
    Anyone ever meet this problem ? Can it be a hardware failure ?
    I really don't want to go to Asus repair center again (just come back from them for LCD replacement), is there anyway to make sure this is hardware-related or software-related problem ?

    Thanks for any help.

    Is that happenning in battery saver mode?

    Once I put my G74 into battery saver power cfg and the screen went white but, very faintly, the word ASUS was across the middle of the screen in block letters. I guessed that was from P4G hybrid. Never really looked into it since I'm always plugged in anyhoo. :shrug:

    @chemicalx

    Try it on an external monitor if you can.

    If this only happens on the internal LCD you can be certain it is a hardware problem, either a faulty LVDS cable or a bad LCD.

    Leaving my G53sw at the Asus Service Center for 1 week and just got it back on Nov 7, this time they did LCD & cable replacement.... but.... How UNBELIEVABLE !!! After a few minutes of use, the old issue HAPPENS AGAIN.
    Now my frustration really reach its maximum, I doubt the Asus warranty, could it be they used the defective parts for replacement.
    I have no choice but leave my laptop in the Warranty Center once again and hope for LUCK next time.
    I really envy those that have their laptop works perfectly out of the box.

    Did you try it on an external monitor like AllurGroceries suggested? If you have the same issue it is likely something wrong with the card itself. The more you can narrow it down for them sometimes can be helpful.

    Just get my laptop back from the Service Center, everything's so far so good now, hope I can spend time to have fun with it rather than worrying about issues.
