Happened

Okay, So I'm updating my BIOS to 211 right.

I used EZ Flash.

So now when I turn my G73jh it turns on but no picture or anything than turns off after awhile. the blue lights turn on but the keyboard doesn't

Did I just brick it????

I'm so nervous..

anyone?

I didn't buy the best buy warranty, but can I take it too the geek squad guys or no?

I got it from best buy but didn't buy their warranty.

Best Buy is authorized to do Asus repair work. So yes, they will be able to help.

Can anyone confirm that Best Buy can help me out even though I didnt get their warranty?

 

The Asus G73JH comes with a 1yr warranty by default, even the best buy version, afaik. The additional warranties they try to get you to buy are just Geek Squad warranties and whatnot. You'll be covered.

 

But can I ship it to Asus by using Best Buy?

Will they do it for me?

 

When I bricked mine, I took it back to BB. Their Geek Squad sent it to their repair center. After a couple weeks, they called me and said they were not able to repair it & gave me credit to get a new one or whatever. Luckily it was another one with the LG screen & 1333 ram.

 

Best Buy will not send the laptop to Asus, they'll send it to one of their own facilities for repair. The BB route is free, no shipping cost to you. But if you want to send it to Asus, you'll have to pay shipping.

I just got hired at Best Buy actually and just finished new employee orientation.

I went to best buy and my mom didn't like that they didn't fix it so she yelled at the manager and I got a brand new machine!!!!
