    Harddrive overheating

    So i formatted my laptop and my hard drive have started overheating. 50 - 54c

    Any idea why this has started happening. :confused:

    Before formatting my temps were around 38 - 42c

    50-54C isnt necessarily overheating.

    55C+ is undesirable, 60C+ is more like overheating.

    Reformatting and installing Windows is alot of work on the harddrive. Alot of work means higher temps. ;) Turn the laptop off for a while and let the HDD cool down.
