I am thinking about g74sx-3de but one thing is keep bugging me. I had g73 about an year ago but I had to sell it coz it was overheating bad(radeon 5870 dohhhh...) power cord output was placed on right side instead of usual left or top like other laptop. Problem was, power cord wasn't long enough to go around laptop back to my power outlet under the desk. I had to put it straight down to right side and it barely reached my power outlet at store. It was so bad, it kept getting on my mouse to the point I no longer could use it and sold it less than a week. I only use my laptop at store so this was like fatal flaw for me. So my question is, have they changed even a little since their g73 release? From the looks of pics, they just look exactly same.. same power cord length and same right side position, same biggest ever laptop(g73 was bigger than toshiba's 18.4 inch even though it was only 17.3 inch)..
Can anyone please tell me? :)

It is a little different. New dual vent designs at the back of the G74 and it looks sexier with the chrome or some kind of aluminum color finish. The keyboard spacing has also been redone for better finger placement while gaming.

thx.. but how about power cord position and length? If it's still located at same right side and have same length, I don't think I can use it at work.. I only have use for laptop for playing game at work. :(

the power cord is still on the right side, however, it has been moved further from center so it wont be an obstacle with your mouse much.

Aside of the fixed GTX 560M I think we didn't have much to complain about the new design
