Okay... So the installation of the asus mouse screwed up my laptop completely...

    1) now I got issue with my keyboard, " key kinda lags or at least " doesn't appear till I hit another key

    2) modern warfare 2 'detect optimal settings' now returns with a low res setting with no anti aliasing or whatsoever

I've already uninstalled the mouse software and even system restore to an earlier date but things are still haywire, have got no idea what to do anymore... Can't believe I messed up my week old laptop with a lame mouse..

    Please help me...

The key lag is a common problem, currently theres no solid fix for it.

If you're using an external mouse, then you can disable the touchpad in the BIOS and you'll not have keyboard lag. Supposedly ASUS is working on a fix.

I don't see how #2 could be caused by a mouse- sounds more to me like the app itself or your video card drivers.

    Sigh I give up..

I just ran the recovery program (F9), and I'm never gonna use the damn asus mouse again.. Gonna install my razer imperator on it..

Am I gonna lose all data in my other drives after recovery?

dunno, never used the Recovery. I prefer a proper Win 7 install.

How do I do a proper win 7 install?

Asking only because I would really like to learn, it's too late now anyway.. Already 71% into it..

Feeling a little disappointed because it was a bit of trouble updating bios, vbios, ccc, realtek, remove bloatwares and 2 hours to download mw2 on steam. Came home after a long day at work (16 hours, I'm in finance sector) and still gotta go through this crap..

Could it be because the G74 Does not exist that you are having problems with it? Just guessing...
