Hey, I recently bought an asus g73jw, The power supply died on me today so i went to a local computer store to get a replacement. The guy at the store sold me this: NA 90 - Cooler Master - Leading Provider of Computer Case | Cooler | Power Supply

He assured me that it was fit to my computer and would not cause problems... Although it is tiny in comparison to the Asus power supply i have: 150W ASUS G73JW-A1 G73JH-B1 power supply charger ac adapter (This is not the exact one i have but very similar)

Now when i have the new adapter plugged in I get the "AC Mode" Flashing on and off constantly and cant maintain a charge... Will this new adapter damage my system with further use? I payed big bucks for this laptop and dont want to damage it.

    THanks alot

He sold you a power cord rated for 90w. Which means, if the computer uses more than 90w of power, it will need to switch to battery.

The g73 comes with a 150w power cord, I believe. The GPU uses ~50 at load, and the CPU at ~45. The screen uses some, and the wireless...

    You get the picture.

It won't ruin your laptop, but you should go to the store and tell them they sold you the wrong size.
