Hey guys/girls :) First post here and I need a bit of help choosing between two ASUS laptops.

    I have my eye on a ASUS ROG G752VY which has inside a i7-6820HK, 32GB DDR4, 256GB SSD + 1TB HDD, 17.3inch FHD, Geforce GTX 980M-8G, BRRW, WiFi, BT4.0, HDCAM, 4-cell, 3kg, Win10,

And I also have my eye on ASUS ROG STRIX GL502VY-DS74 which has inside 6700HK, 16GB DDR4, 1TB+256GB SSD | Nvidia GTX 980M with 8GB VRAM

The strix is about $250 cheaper than the ROG G752Y but I'm more worried about performance.

Does either model have G-Sync? Are both models IPS panels? Which has better cooling?

I am going to be playing Star Wars Battlefront and GTA5 and CS:S. Will a 980M be enough to play those games at ultra levels?

I would wait until the 1080M comes out but I need a laptop now. So I have to bite the bullet and buy.

Which one should I go for? Money is no object so i don't mind spending a few more bucks if it's worth it.

ASUS ROG STRIX GL502VY-DS74 have 15'' display, as guy who got from from 15'' to 17'', I can tell you that your eyes will benefit from 17'', beside day to day use, gaming fhd on 15'' for me was a pain...

GL502VY-DS74 if you need to fit it in a standard bag. They 17" models are not so good for carrying around if it's going to be used on the go or at work.

I'm getting the gl502vy next week. My biggest concern is the cooling, and but Asus seems to be known for good cooling systems. Will report back when I get it

This is personal preference. I carry my 17" Sager every day.
