Hi, everybody I bought a Asus G73 from BestBuy a few months ago. The fans was kinda silence, but since last week makes kinda a noisy, Its like every 10 minutes accelerate the fan and went back silence. I dunno what could be the problem, then I checked the overclocking buttom, but it turned off already.
There is a picture with the temp when the fans starts to accelerate:

Are your vents dusty? Should clean them.

Honestly, you can't really properly clean the radiators unless you open up your g73. You could try breaking up the clumps of dust with compressed air, but the fins are so tightly spaced that not much will pass through them. Also, are those idle temps? The fans kicking in around that temperature is normal(ish), but what are you doing when they spin up to full speed?

90C idling . Your TIM application or heatsink is seriously bad. Repaste or RMA it.

Wow, those are near idle temps then... I've never heard of a G73 GPU idling at 90C. Look at the back vents with a flashlight, I bet those suckers are clogged. Also make sure there is ventilation beneath your laptop. The main intakes are underneath the GPU, and if you block them your temps will skyrocket. Elevate your back end if necessary.

If your radiators look ok, and you're getting good ventilation under the laptop. Then it could be something more serious. Keep us updated.

    Wow!

If those are idle temps then that is the worst(!!!) paste job I have seen so far. What did they use? Mud. :) How long have you been using this machine?

You can RMA it and get a new paste job and HOPE that your RMA technicians have a firm understanding of pasting the G73JH. Otherwise paste it yourself or let someone do it for you.

I think you are holding the crown here for G73JH laptops.

The Memio temp should be similar to your DispIO temp if you have a decent paste job. If those are idle temps, you have a horrible paste job!

The fan goes on because of that 91C temp, you can take it into Bestbuy and they may be able to fix it or exchange it [as Bestbuy is an authorized service center now], or do a re-paste job yourself.
