I have the core i7 at 2.0 ghz and when I first got this system about 2 days ago the CPU cores would idle around 50 or maybe a bit above degrees. Now they are idling (a bunch of programs are open but I'm not doing anything) at around 60 degrees. I'm a bit concerned about this high temperature. My CPU fan is at 2900 RPM. What do you all think?
My GPU is idling at 45 and under load goes to about 70-73.
Harddrive is cold at 32 deg.

Try cleaning your fans. Its probably the dust that's causing the higher temps.

Thanks for the suggestion Illz. Actually the temp is now back down to 47 deg. I have no idea what happened but now even with light use (not merely idle) its in the high 40s low 50s which is totally acceptable.
Do you open the G series to clean it or spray it with air into the vents? Also does opening the system effect the warranty? -
I thought you said GPU.. My CPU temp. are in the high 30s', low 40s' on idle or browsing.
GPU idle is at 38-39*C, 38-43*c GPU when watching youtube. Total GPU temp. idle is 36-38/39*C
