I just recently (today) got my G73 back from a 3 week RMA. They replaced the screen (1 dead pixel), but the screen looked way worse than when I originally sent it off. After some investigation, it looks like the left side of the monitor is farther than the right side, and the viewing angle is terrible- after taking a printscreen of my desktop, putting it in paint, and moving the bottom left side of my screenshot to the middle of my laptop, it saw it was way more vivid than it actually looked.
I don't think the screen itself is the issue, rather, it was probably put in badly, or may be warped or something. Is there any way to fix this myself? I do NOT want to have to RMA again right after getting it back.

It sounds like there could be a bad bulb on the one side of your monitor, causing it to appear dimmer than the left side.

You know, looking at it, the left side doesn't have a light coming out of the middle area. So do I have to do another RMA?
-
I would, and start threatening lemon law on them. That may get them to fast track your RMA. I would demand free overnight shipping in both directions. Have you checked to see if you have a certified Asus Service Center near your home?

Anyway, I'm going personally to the Fremont facility... and thanks for giving me the idea to invoke that law. Hopefully, they'll fix it on the spot and I'll be a happy man. -
For all your grief they should include a body massage with Happy Ending while you wait.
Horrible viewing angles on G73JH screen
