    Hello,
so I have a dumb question for you guys. I am wanting to blow out the cpu and gpu exhaust vents in my asus g53sw-xn1 to bring down my temps but am not sure of what I need to take apart in order to do so.
Could anyone just give me a brief walk through on the best way to blow out the fans and/or exhaust vents.

    Much appreciated!

What I do is use short burts of air from a compressed air can directly pointed at the vents so that it doesn't put too much pressure on the fan. A short burst every once in awhile so the fan doesn't speed up really fast.

which direction do you shoot the air? Not from the rear of the laptop I assume?

Yes. From the rear. Blow into one vent first. It should be short bursts (one second bursts). Repeat for the other vent.
