I have the g51jx-x1. I called Asus for support but they were garbage. All I can say is, "Asus, you call that garbage customer support"? Anyway...
I used to be able to play games without much issues. Overheating and BSoD still happened but only every so often to the point that it was bearable. Now, I can't even properly play a single round of Starcraft 2 without the computer shutting down from overheating.
I'm thinking that there's some dust clogging up the airway underneath but I want to make sure that's the problem before I unscrew the bottom.

You under warranty still? If you cant get it clean enough to function without over heating i would have the customer service reps forward me to a supervisor and if that fails try
[email protected]
OR
[email protected]
Both of these are great reps (took me 8 hours on the phone and two months to get in contact with these people) and will more than likely have you rma your computer to fix the over heating issues. -
