I want to check to see if the hinge screws are tight on the part of the hinge that attaches to the lid. I have checked the lower ones that attach to the bottom of laptop, the ones you can get to by removing the back cover and they are good. Just to be clear, the friction resistance of my hinges is fine... I can detect a slight amount of play though in the attachment of the top hinges to the lid and want to see if the attaching screws are tight. I looks like I need to remove the bezel around the screen... I can't see any screws. Can someone enlighten me, thanks.

The play is almost definitely going to be in the hinges themselves, that's just how they wear. The play will be when you pull the laptop lid forward (closed). They lose their resistance and start to have some give. It would be less likely for the screws to be loose. Taking your screen bezel off requires a gentle hand. Don't force anything too quickly, as it is extremely easy to warp the plastic or break tabs to the point where it will no longer snap back into place perfectly. Use an expired credit card or a heavy guitar pick to gently work around the screen once you have the screws off.
