The "button" for turbo boost doesn't seem to do anything. I would like to turn off it, considering that I have a big problem with auto-shutdown from (ovearheating?).

    Is something broken?

it would probably be the GPU, it generates 30% more heat the the CPU, id get monitoring software to see which one is doing it

i somewhat doubt it would be the CPU

ireguardless if you want to disable intel's auto-overclocking, limit you cpu to max 70% processor speed In Power Plans Advanced settings.

some good montioring software would be HWinfo32 or HWmonitor

    anything over 95C is bad

I think you're talking about the Asus Twin Turbo (a.k.a. Asus Easy Overclock)?

If so, you have to have the ATK driver (on cd) installed to operate with that button. Otherwise, you can go into your BIOS and enable/disable it there.

you need to reinstall the ATK package and power4gear... the only reason your overheating is not due to it but your GPU overheating due to stock asus thermal paste degrading.. you need to repaste your GPU.
