I'm thinking it will run on max no problem. World of warcraft runs on max with 2XAA with DirectX11 on the G73JH. The Old Republic does seem to have more updated graphics but it looks as though a game will run fine.

Enjoy the game. I was anticipating it also. Although since raids usually take place at 7 o clock most likely on both games as seeing what the raid schedule times are already for The Old Republic. I would play it if there was an automatic raid finder tool. Can't miss those Giants games, no how no way!

I've played in a testing phase on the G73JW on high settings (highest at the time) with no problems. I havn't got a chance to see the new updated settings, but maxed settings.

What are the system requirements for Star Wars: The Old Republic?

While we don’t have the minimum system requirements available just yet, the goal is to make the game playable on most PCs.

Which usually means that It'll be a little better than WoW's minium settings but retospec'd to 2011 standards.

They'll be wanting to get a broad fanbase. Minimum specs will be crazy low.

The MMO market is really about having access for the masses. Most successful MMOs don't have heavy requirements so that their subscribers won't have to get top of the line systems to run it. Totally different market than shooters, for example. See no reason why it won't run well on the G73 at all, much the same as everyone else has already said.

As others said you should have no issues. BioWare are using a really ***ty engine for this. The chose this rubbish engine for ease of use, so multiple developers can be working on the same scenes in real time at the same time etc. It's for speed. It seems BioWare are spending all their budget for this game on voice acting and marketing.

From the rumors I've read, they imply BioWare will be spending almost twice as much on marketing this game than in developing it. All this game is IMO is a cash money pot to attract all the mindless Star Wars fans into buying.

Any news on the monthly fee for this?

Sadly I am going to bypass this and wait for Guild Wars 2, I have not played an MMPORG since I recovered my life after World of Warcraft but if I am going to consider another it wont be this.

Considering it has been in development for so long I reckon it will run fine on the JH as time goes by they may do what WoW did and keep adding to what they have and pushing the requirements up by initial requirements seem quite low.

The game looks really bad to be honest....but it should be easy as hell to run.

You're going to enjoy it, Bioware doesn't make sub-par games. The solo content alone will be immersive and thrilling, throw in the group dynamic of an mmo, a rich star wars universe, and I predict it will be one of the most successful games, ever.

    Meatbags will hate.

With the new FXAA injector this is what I'll be doing with all my games. Why not get more FPS with lower res, 900p, but still have smooth lines? Almost no detail is lost between 1080p and 900p.

nothing official announced but it should be $15 monthly as usual. Guild Wars 2 is a better choice IMO, you just need to pay for the game itself.

Just read about and looked at gameplay of guild wars 2 and I gotta admit it seems impressive. Good graphics and gameplay, Jeff Grub as a writer...and it's free to play.

Free to play...hmmm, if I had no life I could see me playing both games...and skyrim, battlefield, ect. There are so many good games coming out this season, where shall we find the time?
