The G73jh has been out for some time now, and as expected, it's still kicking . (Mine) Having only a 720QM, 5870m, and 6gb RAM, easily manages to play ALOT (my whole library) of games maxed, and near-maxed, the latest best example being Crysis 2.
I love it when games like Portal 2 come out and I know beforehand without a doubt that my laptop will be able to max it. I know it's not a graphically demanding game, but it's always good to know that you can max games easily. With that said, the next game I'm really looking forward to run on this thing is The Witcher 2.
For sure one of two things will happen with that game;
1.We are going to be able to run the game completely stable and completely maxed (at launch or after some updates) or...
2.We will be able to run this game stable at near-max
With that said, how long do you think the G73jh is going to be able to, for the most part, play newer games at high or maxed settings at stable frames? Looking back, graphics haven't really improved at the caliber it used to. I mean, 4 years later and Crysis is still considered by many to be the best-looking game to date granted you have a capable rig.
But yeah, I personally think the g73jh will last at least another 1.5-2 years worth of new releases.

With a repaste and overclocking you will see it last longer in terms of power and reliability. I hope to keep mine until late 2012. -
How long will the G73 last? Well when are the next gen consoles coming out?
