When i first got the G73. It would boot with the Asus Logo, but without any boot sound...which is what i want. After playing around with FancyStart, now it plays that annoying boot sound. I try to set it to Mute within Fancystart...didn't work. I try going into bios to turn the volumn off, but the lowest setting is 1...so it still plays the sound.

You can try this trick. Press z button in fancy start window tick disable sound and pu start time 00.00 end time 23.59 that should help.

In the BIOS, under the Advanced Tab, you have an option that says "Play POST Sound" just set this to "No" and you're golden.
