    Hi.

Can anyone please tell me how to disable the on-board soundcard since I`m using a Logitech G930 Headphone all the time, I have no use for the Laptop's sound.

    Thanks. Much appreciated. :)

The headphone socket will be powered by the onboard soundcard fella? Having the soundcard active will make no difference if you are using the headphone socket. Either way you cannot just turn it off unless you want to remove the sound drivers which will in hand prevent the headphones from working.

Do you mean you have an external sound blaster?

Yes the G930 comes with it own external audio processor (It doesn't use the headphone socket, it uses it own wireless dongle which is USB) so I have no use for the Realtek Audio.

I guess it's not possible to disable anything since the BIOS is pretty simple which is weird. I don't have much options to choose in the BIOS except for the ASUS logo and boot priority and some other basic stuff. Did ASUS lock the BIOS?

    Anyway, thanks man. :)

Just curious, but is it interfering with anything? It really shouldn't be, I have a cheap Logitech headset (also a USB sound interface) and it doesn't interfere with my onboard sound. I am betting there will be times too when you may want to use the speakers or a smaller pair of headphones, and you probably don't want to go through the hassle of re-enabling the sound card.

No it doesn't interfering with anything.
(Mind you it's really a crappy expensive Headphone due to the lack of a good driver - A huge amount of people are complaining on Logitech Forum every day but Logitech don't even bother to release a new driver!)

You are right. I don't think I will actually disable it. I was just curious cause I found it really weird that there isn't any option to disable anything in the BIOS. I was hoping for something like a "Press Ctrl+F1 to enter BIOS's advanced menu!" answer! :D

    Cheers! :)
