I know it's by design that when you plug in a USB mouse, the touchpad gets disabled. I'd like to have both working though at the same time and I can't find anywhere that this is configurable.

Can anyone point me in the right direction please?

Check - control panel - mouse - device setting (If you have synaptics software installed) there should be an option. I have a check box that will allow both to be used.

Thanks I found it. I swear I looked there before but I must have overlooked it.

The option bit is called "Disable internal pointing device when external USB pointing device is attached".
