    How to enable the raid_o G51VX?

    I bought 2 hd ssd for the G51 was wondering if and only put 2 HD or have to enable something in BIOS? for raid_o

    The Asus G51VX uses the ICM9M chipset which doesn't support RAID so you cant do it. You can have two drives in there but they can only be set up in a simple disk format and used independently. Consider getting an SSD as your primary drive instead, that will give you better performance then a RAID 0 config would

    hereticangel, are you hard drives actually set up in RAID? Don't mean that to sound cynical just as a question.

    Also can you get to the RAID configuration page? reboot and hold down Ctrl and tap I

    I see your BIOS is giving you the RAID option for the SATA configuration but without a RAID controller it wont work

    yep indeed i can access intel matrix raid storage, its blue screen etc.

    afaik the asus g51vx-a1 did have raid, think mine have a a1 mobo maybe.

    Then it appears I am wrong, from my understanding the ICM9M chipset will not support RAID, but if you have it then apparently it does :)

    So Jason13live, if you didnt notice earlier, you use Ctrl I during boot up to access the RAID menu and set it up there.
