    Hi guys

A friend of mine has a G74 with a broken power jack, the pin inside the jack has snapped off.

Whats the best way of fixing this?

I assume i will need to solder a new jack on... or does asus use modular DC jack board ?

    TIA

How much dis-assembly is required to reach the jack?

you have to fully disassemble the laptop, because the DC jack is on the bottom side , and however you have to remove the mobo to remove the old jack and solder the new jack.
