I have read around in these forums of a few screens that I could replace my PSODed Hannstar panel with. I came across this:
AUO B173HW01 V4
Which is supposed to have almost full aRGB gamut, which I would think would be an awesome benefit. I have also read opinions that this was a bad thing, and caused some over saturation in colors. Is this a problem with the screen, or users not calibrating, using color managed programs, loading their profiles correctly?
Wouldn't this be the best possible screen to pop into my G73, considering that I do photography work?
Is there something better out there that someone could suggest, which I can buy from a place like screencountry?
Thanks

I'm waiting for the G73JW-3DE panel to be available. Matte screen, 120Hz, great angles

could I pop that into the JH?

Been looking for a screen for ages. Seems pretty up in the air what the best screen for the G73 is and when I upgrade I want it to be the best possible. My 7811FX had an amazing screen, been constantly looking for one that can compare.

I just ordered a screen from LaptopScreen.com after a user here mentioned them. I was looking into getting a v.4 but it ended up being way too expensive.

What screen did you get Kaelang?

you might want to get the AUO.. heard the hanstar in the new JW models isn't good.. my AUO full HD in JH has been excellent.

What is a good vendor to procure a specific manufacturer's model of screen? I have a feeling that all of the stores that google finds are just going to give me any old 17.3" panel.

I have yet to get my new screen in. Should be later this week, hopefully. I'll post as to the quality and what model number it is. -
I have heard very good things about the LG screens, although i can't find any links >.<
How would this screen be for the g73?
