I have 3x8GB fitted by ASUS in my laptop but according to CPU-Z they are running in Dual Channel mode, how do I make them run in Triple channel mode?

The way the SODIMMS are installed is

Slot 1 = empty (ASUS did that on purpose to make the last slow easily accessible/upgradeable to the user)
    Slot 2 = Hynix 8GB PC3-12800 DDR3-1600MHz non-ECC Unbuffered CL11 204-Pin SoDimm 1.28V
    Slot 3 = Hynix 8GB PC3-12800 DDR3-1600MHz non-ECC Unbuffered CL11 204-Pin SoDimm 1.28V
    Slot 4 = Hynix 8GB PC3-12800 DDR3-1600MHz non-ECC Unbuffered CL11 204-Pin SoDimm 1.28V

Can someone who has 24 GB RAM in his laptop see in CPU-Z if it says Dual Channel or Triple channel in the Memory tab?

You need a triple channel supported motherboard and memory controller(cpu) to run triple channel.
As in not happening now on laptop.

What baii said: you don't. Some first gen desktop core i had triple channel memory and some higher end desktop/server chips have quad channel now I think, but for now, laptop CPU memory controllers only support single and dual channel.

    I understand, thanks guys

so I guess my laptop is running in Flex Mode now that is 2x 8GB SDOIMMs in Dual mode and the left alone 8 GB SODIMM is running in Single Channel right? coz I have 24 GB RAM (8x3)

Yup that's flex mode. I don't think the single channel 8GB stick will impact performance unless you somehow consume that first 16GB.

    Yes that's correct.

The only consumer chipset to support triple channel was the X58, the X79 supports quad but all of these are only desktop CPU compatible so are only found in the largest of notebooks.
