I have tried everything, slipstreaming and the guides for the previous G51 laptops. Every single time I get a 0x0000007B BSOD.

Any clues on how I can get XP on my machine? I need it for Siemens Step7 and WinCC software to run.

    Help :(

Try compatible mode in BIOS instead.

create a new XP installation CD with Nlite to integrate the AHCI driver. You should also integrate the LAN or WLAN driver

We tried all the suggestions and still couldn't figure out why it won't work, too bad we don't have any G51J anymore but I'll try G51Jx tomorrow.

Hey there. Yeah I actually have like 3 or 4 Win XP attemps with nlite already, all with the drivers slipstreamed etc but it hasn't worked at all.

How did you make a bootable USB win xp? I might try that. Though I am leaning more to a possible hard drive issue that's preventing me from installing XP.

Had the same problem, eventually created a WinXP boot CD with the SATA driver integrated.

Problem I'm having now is finding a working Wireless LAN driver for the Asus G51JX, I believe it is an Azurewave card? I've tried using drivers from the Asus site and the Azurewave site but to no avail. Anyone had any luck with this? Thanks!
