I'm a G73Jh user, and I love its aircraft design and powerful performance very much.
BUT I really really hate the rubber coating palmrest!
Ive used G73Jh for about one year. The palmrest is very smooth and soft when touched at first.
However, after used for six months, the palmrest started to get rough and sticky!
It is a terrible using experience, expecially on such a high-class laptop.
You can see the pics below. Everything is cool except the palmrest!

When I saw ASUS's new gaming laptops G75 & G55, I thought,
Wow! Another SOFT TOUCH rubber coating palmrest design!
To be honest, I am disappointed about that...
So I want to ask whether you guys really like the rubber coating palmrest?
Am I the only one to have this problem?

I don't want to sound like Captain Obvious, but it looks like you need to clean it.

I like Quadzilla's solution -

Mine is still in perfect condition other than a bit of shine where my hands rest and I have had the G73 since its initial release.
Nobodies G73 is older than mine and I use it daily except on weekends.
I really like the rubber its softer and easier on the hands, and gives you some texture/grip. Had it been hard plastic it would have shown just as much wear in my case but been less comfortable to use. -
OH , so you have the ancient G73 ,
, didnt you go through gsod problem?
and I would like change my G73Jh palm rest with G73Jw , because it has two buttons, I love it. -
