After a solid week of tweaking, fresh OS installs, driver roll backs, hours of fiddleing, no matter what I did, I got nothing but BSODs. I went ahead and sent my asus g73jh-rbbx05 back to cowboom. It was painful, because it was EXACTLY what I wanted spec wise, and I got it for 910 dollars after taxes and shipping. So, I dont know if they are going to send me a another unit that actually works, or refund me im not sure.. The email they sent me was very vague... SO! what should I do? what can I get for around 1000 bucks that wont dissipoint me Spec wise? You know what my requirements are. all i care about is I want my games to pop on the screen! I want a great looking picture. I could care less if the laptop weights 10 pounds, has a 30 min battery life, it's a gaming laptop! I'm playing Bfbc:2, lfd2,GTA4,dirt2,Justcause2. I guess I could care less if the graphics are maxed out, just want to have a great viewing and playable experince... is that too much to ask?

Well I would email them back and make sure you have a clear understanding and agreement on what course of action they are going to take. That said, I don't really know what your specs are, but there is always the M11x. Probably too small, but has good gaming power, and good especially if your on the go a lot. I hope it's not blasphamy to say "Alienware" in here, but at least it's within the price range. The M11x R1 can be had for $800 used or less, and the warranty is transferable so it would still be covered. The M11x R2 is a little more, but likely still in the price range. Not sure what you want to do, but I would definately call and ask what the status is and the course of action before deciding on anything. Be polite and insist that you'd like a replacement. G73 is a great notebook. Good luck! Hope they just send a replacement.

Good advice.....or you could just tuff it out and come up with the difference after you get your refund back and purchase a new RX05 unit.

But then again the M11x is a fine unit. Just becareful with the hinges.
