Ok, so I've got an Asus G50VT-X5 and was wanting to upgrade my processor. But I really have no clue what I'm doing. I'm 17 and I've only had this computor for a year. Anywho, I couldn't find out for the life of me what my motherboard is, and I'm pretty sure the motherboard type depends on what processor I can get. I was wanting to get a quad with at least 3 ghz. But yeah, the main question I have is what is my motherboard type, and more-over, how can I find out what my motherboard is? Thanks in Advance!

I think the standard for your laptop model is, if it didn't come with a quad core it will not support one. so x9100 is the highest cpu you can handle. On that note the cpu models it can handle are as follows, p7350,p8400, p8600, p8700,p8800,p9500,p9600,p9700,x9100
