just got this laptop yesterday and i was wondering what idle temperature you guys get when surfing the web? I get somewhere between 54-57.
    Is that good?

Also, when playing starcraft2 on ultra settings for more than 2-3 hours i getan average of 74 degrees, is that good?

That's actually VERY good for a non-repasted unit.
    Congrats.

I would have them look at it in store. The key has that rubber like knob under it that can shift and cause a key to do that. This could eventually cause it to pop off which can be a pain to get back on. Have em make good on the warranty or have them replace the unit. If you complain enough (especially if you're premier silver) they'll go for it.
