    If I put a SATA-III drive in a G73SW, will it run at SATA-III speed?

    I know that pretty much any laptop with SATA will take a SATA-III drive, but without the right hardware/software, it will run at SATA-II speeds. Does the G73SW have this problem?

    XOTICPC.com sales rep just told me that the hard drive ports are sata-iii and that the optical drive port is sata-ii. good money!

    Runs at SATA 3 speeds for me, depends if you have the Sandy Bridge version I guess...

    Port 0-1 on the H67M chipset are Sata-3.
