According to battery sources, keeping your battery near fully charged all the time reduces its life expectancy. This describes most of us who always have our laptops plugged in.
I've always thought Asus' 95-100% charge cycle was suspect.
It's better to keep batteries half to 2/3 charged until you need it.
This Battery Health app has been out for a while, and I never knew about it.
So far I've only tested the GL702VS, and this app works great. It stops charging at either 60% or 80% depending on your preference.
Lenovo has had this for a long time, and now Asus does as well.
Download the app at the link above. It doesn't seem to be limited to the Zenbook and vivobook, but it may not work with all Asus laptops.
Doesn't work for my GL502VM though. crap.
