Hi All. Has anyone had a problem with the date in Windows advancing two days beyond the actual date you had set?

I keep setting the date to the correct day, but after shutting down, and starting again later, the date is two days advanced from where I had set it.

    I have the G73JH model.

Thanks in advance to anyone who can shed some light on this.

Have you checked in the BIOS to see if it's set correctly there?

Windows had a recent patch for Daylight Savings and such. I would hit Windows Update.

    Thanks guys.
Yes, the BIOS is set properly. I'll double check the Win 7 updates to see if there is anything I haven't downloaded yet.

JerryT, can you check your Region in the control panel and make sure it's set correctly? Also, your time zone needs to be right, of course. The only way I know to get windows to do that is to have a mismatch in the Region plus timezone. Arizona doesn't do daylight savings time do they? You could uncheck "Automatically adjust for DST". Also, make sure you are hitting the right time server. If you click your clock on the taskbar and then select "change date and time settings" there should be three tabs. The third one is "Internet Time". When you select "Change Settings" it should have a check mark beside "Synchronize with an Internet time server" and the time server is normally time.windows.com

Probably that's why all my System Restore Points have a date different than the current one in Win7. I'll check later.

Those wacky Arizonians....always two days ahead. They can't just play nice with the rest of us! :)

Lol, yep thats us. What I did was to uncheck the sync with internet time, and now it stays where it should be. I'm going to play with that setting some more and see if they all do that.
