I used to use a proprietary application to tighten timings on my desktop with corsair. But it hasn't shown any affect on my g73.

Is there any application out there to easily tighten timings for our notebook?

FWIW - you wouldn't notice any difference from 7-7-7-20 than 10-10-10-30 on 1033/1333/1600 ram. If you were overclocking and benchmarking ram, you'd see a difference in benchmarks, but very unlikely you'd see any difference in the actual Windows experience.

On my desktop, I've got my ram up to 2200mhz, at 7-9-8-21-1T, but that's because I like benchmarking ram from time to time. :)
