I have a 6250 w/ Wimax card and was thinking about replacing it with an intel 6300 for the 450 mbps speed. Since I don't use wimax I don't foresee a problem. Has anyone has replaced their 6250 w/ wimax for a non-wimax card run into any issues?

Since it's just a half sized PCI-e swap, there should be ZERO problems.

...and don't forget you'll probably want/need to install a 3rd antenna, assuming you're on a G73 with only two stock antennas.

Yeah I have 3rd Antenna I had to re-wire my old dell for a 5300. I just wasn't sure if since the original was a wimax if that would cause any issues. Thank you for the FYI now for a rewire!
