Is it possible to change directx 11 to directx 9 or 10 in Windows 7 ?![]()
I was just wondering if it's possible or Not since I have seen smoother gameplay videos in some FPS games like Metro 2023 & Crysis with D9 or D10 . If there is some guide about how you can do it . it would be appreicate it if you could redirect me to it![]()
My G53sw Notebook spec is :

Intel core i7-2630qm

There is a option in game on metro.
And in crysis Right click it and it will give you the choice -
All directx 10 and 11 do are add additional effects. It's true that you can select directx 9, as Joshanator said, for Crysis. But if you play on high settings instead of ultra settings in Crysis then you're pretty much limiting it to directx 9 effects instead of DX10. The vast majority of games allow you to adjust graphics affects. You just have to do a tiny bit of research to figure out which settings affect framerates the most. More often than not you'll find that the DX10& 11 effects are the ones that have the biggest effect on framerate but once you know what they are you can just turn them off.
