    Hi guys,
As you all know, over the time, the batteries are dying slowly and approaching end of their lifes. Before it, i'd really like to know whether there's a good store (especially inside USA) to find a replacement battery for my G53JW? I found some links but they didn't satisfy me.

Is it really available? Requesting original one from Asus store is currently unavailable and i bet i'll be astronomically priced. The battery is specialized for Asus Rog chassis (curves around the battery) and i really wonder it's possible to get a fairly-priced replacement and working one.

    Thanks a lot!

there is a tab in HWinfo64 that gives info about the battery life and its wear level.

Ive had my laptop for about 11 months now and the battery wear level is stated at around 7%.

If these figures are really accurate and the wear levels are exact, by estimating the rate of decay, I doubt I would need to buy a replacement battery in the future.

In 3-4 years, I would give it a rough estimate of around 30-35% wear level. But by then our laptops would be outdated and would have lived their fruitful years. Before the batteries expire, chances are you would have already bought a new laptop.

Hi zafota, i guessed the same at first thought however the values reported such as "battery wear" in HWinfo is just a trash like HDD Smart info reports in many applications. The amount of real tearing is much more than the reported values as it's not clear how these applications "digitize" the tearing amount. For normal usage, i bet you'll notice a significant drop in performance slowly after a year and the complete death may take 3-4 years.

Though let's forget these expressions, is there really replacement ones being sold out there? Not just for tearing concerns, for the emergency purposes if the battery gets broken. Thanks a lot!

you can still run on AC power though. Most of g-series notebook users never really depend on the batteries unless there's a power outage. They really don't last that long. You can still run the notebook even if you don't have any batteries attached. So far i haven't seen any sellers that sell extra batteries but you can try asus if you're really keen on buying an extra one

Thanks zafote, i really concur with you. Hope there are at least some replacement ones but it's really hard to find even in USA.

    Hope we all become well.
