Is it safe to increase the refresh rate from 60 Hz to 120 Hz. on my 3D / Glossy screen to get better FPS?

The reason I ask is because I though LCDs are all locked @ 60 Hz. refresh rate but I heard that 3D Panels are different?

Can I ask where you bought your laptop? I have yet to see a G750 version with those specs (especially the 3D screen and the ssd/hdd combo. Also, yes, Kepller is right that you can safely set your screen to 120hz (it is even recommended :) )

They (ASUS Service Center Dubai) damaged my G75VW motherboard while trying to install the 3D screen instead of the matte screen it had so they gave me a new laptop for free :) but i had to pay $500 USD extra coz i chose the 3D version rather than getting the free replacement G750 which they offered which had a crappy matte screen
