I had an Alienware 15 that had alot of problems... mainly the heat that came from the laptop was ridiculous. Does anyone think this laptop, or the similar Zenbook UX510 will be worth the buy?

    It's either I get the ASUS G501/UX501 (zenbook) , or get a desktop. It's a hard decision.

The AW15 that I have got also has problems, waiting for it to be returned. I have been considering the 501 for sometime, but is way to late to market. I think safer just to hold out that little bit longer. Windows 10 is going to bring a slew of new products to market, and be sure to find Intel new 6th gens inside these. There is almost no more waiting to ago. Buying 4th gen now with windows 8.1 will likely feel and be much a disappointed in 2-3 months time from now, too much money for something that will be obsolete super fast.

What about Clevo P650/651SE/SG? You get similar screen sizes, HDD's and better GPU's for cheaper with it :)

Do u think its really worth the wait? I mean there might not be 6th gen processors and windows 10 and windows 8 upgrade won't be that much of importance... maybe I am very impaient as well because I like the ux501

Bet you bottom dollar only about 3 months away. There will be a huge jump from 4th to 6th for the mobile platforms, especially around thermals and battery life, will have a follow on effect to the size of the unit being smaller in some cases. Remember jumping an entire gen, plus getting a brand new OS, this maybe the biggest thing since Windows 7 release way back in 2009. I don't like waiting either, but I am saving up my money for the new platform. Buy something now and you will regret it. Id just buy something old or second hand for cheap, save money to get you over to the new stuff. Personally I am making do with an old M17x R3 and an old Lenovo.

You do know that Windows 8.1 users will get Windows 10 upgrade for free right?

Yeah sure, I would rather it came right out of the box with Windows 10 and full driver support. I wouldn't bet on manufacturers to supply driver support if the system is shipped with Windows 8.1, if they do it will be very limited at best, unless they plan to sell the same model/hardware when 10 is out.

The drivers should mostly move over for a lot of the generic devices and things like the GPU will get updates from Nvidia.
