I heard it was suppose to be released in september.. yet 2015 now and it's still not released. It's the only nice looking 15.6 inch laptop that I can find for my needs!

Honestly, I'd be surprised if it gets released at all. The graphical power of GX500 with 860M is marginally faster than the NX500 with 850M (~12%). Given the low profile nature of the laptop, it is highly likely ASUS is going to underclock the graphical chip in the case it gets too hot (which kind of defeats the purpose of having a faster chip in the first place).

IMHO, I think GX500 is just a styling / technology demonstrator, and will not likely see mass production, if ever. But again, as someone who's also eyeing for the NX500 and an avid gamer, I'd really like to see the laptop gets released.

This sucks man. I've been trying hard to find a good quality 15.6" gaming laptop but I can't seem to find any. I've been trying to look for 15.6" with 970M, but theres only a couple. MSI GS60 looks alright but I've been hearing about how hot it gets... and it doesn't look that great. Why is it so hard to find a good 15.6" laptop with a good graphics card!!
