Well after about 1 month of using this laptop (now on my 7th) the HDD light started to go out like that and it has been like that since but now the power LED is starting to go out in the right corner and the battery one in the middle (both the power and the battery light are just out in like 1 small dot) but i was wondering if it were possible to replace these

try photoshop...it should work .......
i would like to disable the power led (@ your picture the left one) -
It is probably soldered to the motherboard via some wires (or direct on it). So I wouldn't advise attempting to replace them unless you know what you're doing. As a general purpose fix, try RMA.

After hearing some stories about RMAing with ASUS id rather take a chance at winning the lottery then sending them my computer.

They're held in with some glue usually, you might be able to melt it and replace the LED if you're comfortable with that kind of thing. It's definitely been done on other systems, to change the LED colors, etc.

They might be smd leds... but should be possible to exchange it. Does anyone has a picture of a disassembly where you can see these leds?
-
Pretty sure they are SMD leds. Good luck changing them... lol

I bet there's a way to do this. I wish there was a good picture of the LED assembly. I sure don't want to take my machine apart to look. It's a pain in the umm... behind. I've done it once.
You could install some multicolored LEDs that pulse different colors. That would be cool. I program microcontrollers as a hobby. I've got a fishing tackle box full of LEDs, resistors, capacitors, and such.
SMD is possible for the hobbyist, but it's not very easy. There are several techniques. It would probably be a lot more reasonable to make your own assembly that fits the space using regular LEDs. You would have to build an assembly that works on similar power requirements to the SMD LEDs which is doubtful or you could rob a little five volt power from a nearby USB port. It could probably be done vampiring very little wattage and the port would still work for USB nubs for mice or other things that don't really need a full half amp to operate.
I'm not doing any Frankenstein work on my laptop until it's out of warranty, though. -
are you sure the leds are fried? could be a dust puff involved
