    Hi All,

I found a nice SSD drive for $129 after mail in rebate.
Corsair CSSD-F120GB3A-BK Force Series 3 Solid State Drive - 120GB, SATA III (6Gb/s), 2.5, up to 550MB/s Read, up to 510MB/s Write at TigerDirect.com

It is listed on tirgers web site.

It is for a G73JH, so I will get the Sata II speed not the listed one here.

I just want to buy a nice product that will last. THe revies look good on all web site, I just want to double check with you all.

I have not had first hand experience but a few posters here seem pleased

I had very good experience ordering a high end radio from TigerDirect.
It has the SandForce SF-2200 controller, I have seen many people's warnings here to avoid SandForce though
If you are in no hurry you may want to wait for a deal like this: http://forum.notebookreview.com/not...l-m4-128gb-ssd-130-instant-rebate-coupon.html
Generally Intel, Crucial and Samsung seem to have the best reputations for reliability.

Josea gave you good info. I have an Intel 510 in my lappy, but only because I couldn't find any M4's, they were all sold out. I am very happy with it, but my first choice would have been a M4. Very fast, very good rep, very good price. It is nice that finally prices are coming down.

Yes +1 for Crucial M4 it is a great drive.

Ignoring the fact my M11x decided to blow it up last night with a ton of Kernal Errors and bad sectors out of nowhere. It is on its way to amazon after only 3 weeks. Reverted back to my very old Kingston SSDnow SATA II and it is running smooth again. Maybe they are cheap for a reason :(

Yep shocking as well I am normally so lucky with my SSD's this one was fine for 3 weeks then mega pear shaped. I blame the AION Installer I was installing and then everything froze solid and then BSOD after BSOD and then the health check went bonkers. I have 8% wear lol

It has confirmed that the jump between SATA II and SATA III SSD for my M11x is not worth it however for general responsiveness I think the Kingston is fast enough for this CPU.

I just pick up 3 of those for some of my workstations at work. Even running in IDE mode these things are fast. Used to take 10 minutes to boot into xp pro now takes less than a minute.

They are predicting they will drop below a dollar a GB this year so if you wait you could probaby get them a bit cheaper. I'm waiting until the samsung 830's hit $1/gb. It went from $320 a few weeks ago to $289.00 now.

    M4 has been flawless!

They have a Crucial Technology CT128 M4 SSD2 at Sears for $148 and there is a 15% off Sears coupon code online and free shipping. Might save you the pain of the rebate factor.
