Hi guys, first post here. Don't mean to register and start off right away with what might be a dumb question, but this forum is where I read up on the new laptop I purchased and I'm pressed for time.
I just bought the laptop today and it's missing an AC power adapter. I'd like to purchase a replacement tonight so it may arrive in time to use the new laptop (I am pumped to finally get an ASUS!).
I found an ebay auction that purports to be selling an adapter for this model. But it says it's 19V, 16.3A, 120 watts and the adapter I'm finding for the G72GX on Amazon reads 19V, 7.9A, 150 watts. I'd like to buy the ebay one because I can get it for $20 and need to save money.
Dumb question, I'm sure, but does it matter the amps and wattage?

Alright i have a G71GX(same thing pretty much) and it reads 19.5v and 7.7A(150watts)
hope this helps you out -
I did find one that matches those parameters for about the same price as the lower-wattage one. Thanks, Josh!

The Targus APA05US is an 180w unit that can be found online on the cheap.
Is this the right replacement AC power adapter for a G72GX?
