that is what you are reading!
I tested it and it worked!

I would first ask for moderation delete this topic > http://forum.notebookreview.com/asu...vbios-just-change-name-video-card-system.html
because this is going to talk specifically about it

    go!

I downloaded the G74 VBIOS gtx 560m 1GB for testing.
I modified only the ID VBIOS with Nbitor
and performed the upgrade with NVFLASH

and it works! the system normally connected.
    the watches are the GTX560m
    I was surprised

else, like the VBIOS that I downloaded was GTX560m 1GB, my memory of that video was 1.5GB now this scoring just 1GB

support for DirectX also changed, went to 11.1
also changed the bus that was now in 128 bits
    see below

    GTX560m Vbios.jpg

the first tests, my FPS dropped a little because I believe the speed 128bits
a drop of about 4 FPS.

however, I was able to play on 850Mhz overclock without shutdowns.
ie, was not having more random shutdowns

    So far everything looks good!

    I wanted to find a VBIOS 192Bits
to see if I won again I lost 4fps

Doubt, ask! Below I will leave the VBIOS for those who want to test.
remember to always keep your original safe VBIOS
    128 Bits
    View attachment gtx560m.zip

how it all works well, I'll stay a little longer with this VBIOS.

    if I get a 192Bits, I put here if I work!

    Thank you!

    UPDATED
    --------------------

    I found a VBIOS G74 Gtx560m 192 Bits 3GB
I updated the ID again and insert the GTX460m

everything works well! Now better able to test,
Now running on this 192Bits, and 1.5 GB video memory

    GTX560m 192Bits.jpg

download link below for those who want to test
again remembering that it is not for beginners, make sure the possible risks.
Always have a backup of your original VBIOS
    192 Bits

Is this flashing a 560m vbios to the 460m?

    Edit: So would a 3GB 560m with the 192-bus vbios from the G74 be compatible with a 1.5GB 460m 192-bus from the G53SW?

    Yes, G74 gtx 560m VBIOS on G73JW gtx 460m

I believe the G53 also works because the line card is the same.
I can not guarantee more! would have to test

That's awesome. What are the advantages of this flash?

My 460m only reaches 840/1550 at stock voltages, so would this help? Does the bios read as a 460m?

    hi
until now not had any problems with the VBIOS GTX560m

I noticed that the tension of it in 3D is 0.972V
ie no need to modify the VBIOS to work with this same tension occurs in VBIOS GTX460m.

and also, until today's date had not No Unexpected Shutdown while playing
if it continues, it seems that this VBIOS solves the problem of random disconnections. what do will be fantastic!

Meanwhile, I continue with the tests.
    any news, I report here

That's great! I may give it a try when I return home. Then maybe some higher clocks!

Hey man, when i put it on Nvflash, it says that the board id mismatch.......
    Can you help plz :(
Edit: It finally works :) Yeah seems like it solved shutdown problem...... :D
    Thx ;)
I also see that the temp rise faster and higher ( 460's Vbios : max 78-80°C, 560's Vbios : 85-86°C)

So what kind of benchmark results have you gotten after the second flash?
I'm looking to do this because my card doesn't like much over 750 core without restarting.
Does this flash allow greater voltage range then the 460ms bios ?

I believe all this is is a 460m vbios mod that increases the voltage and modifies the ID of the card to the 560m. It does not actually give you a 560m from a 460m, just a superficial text change and voltage change.

    See this thread.

well then thats perfect. i need more voltage!! :)
but i want to know if its going to help before i do it hence why i was looking for benchmarks

Well, in the thread I linked in my previous post, the increased voltage allows increased stable overclocking. This will help on benchmarks and gaming but it offers diminishing returns.

The voltage increase (from what I've gathered) is good for 30-50mhz increase on clocks but also increases temperatures. The real-world gain for such a small clock increase is probably negligible or 1-2fps, The temperature however could probably lead to faster wear and tear and instability, so I'm still debating to go through with the custom vbios for long-term.

Btw, I would recommend you use the links in the thread I listed as opposed to the one in this thread. The other thread has had many more participants and contains more information.

    i've read through it all.
waiting to see more results and whatnot :)

Flashed it and within 2 minutes of starting a game it shut down. :p
I didn't even change the clocks yet.

IT's giving me a card mismatch when I try to do it. I have the G73JW. IT shuts off the moment I start a game. Any game. Not sure what I'm doing wrong here.

You are better off doing the 1volt mod to the firmware. Once you get teh 460M up to .96v or higher, you get better overclocking results.

Still depends on the quality of your 460M, once I overclocked my 460M at the frequency of 560M, and in the VBIOS I modified the detailed frequency and the voltage exactly as an 560M, then failed running benchmarks, then I tried to use this VBIOS, I thought this would be better, but the same result came out.
