Ok I love this laptop but what can I do to get the battery not suck.

I have the latest video bios, main bios, the modded video bios so the memory runs super low on battery (verified) and have nothing running when I started

I disabled the wireless and watching an SD movie I get about 43min of battery life.

    Is it just that bad??

    Thanks

Download batterybar and make sure your battery doesn't have excessive wear.

I got around 1.5 hours max on my G73Jh with the GPU clocked all the way down and with the CPU in a power saver mode.

43 minutes is definitelly not normal
the GPU clocks are the main factor for baterry results/
i have mine at 70/100 when on baterry ;)

Yeah its odd. I have my GPU at 150/100 so I wonder if my battery is just dying

Watching videos will reduce your battery life compared to other things like using MS word, 43 mins still seems a bit low though. Have you checked to see if you clock up to 405/1000 when watching videos? That would explain the poor battery life somewhat.

I get up to 2.5 hours at 90/130 Video clocks, lowest brightness setting and sound off , while not gaming, just surfing, email etc. My battery will give less than 1 hour on the setting Tijo mentioned while gaming.
AllurGroceries, Battery Bar tells me discharge rate is approx 20mW

2.5 hours? What is your power consumption measured with batterybar?
