I'm sending my G60j Laptop to the warranty because it's two hdd are dead.

Because my phones jack is side by side with a USB port, I sometimes accidentally insert the jack in the usb port, the laptop immediately turns off.

Is this normal? ; I tried this on some other laptops and they don’t turn off .

Should I ask them to fix this, or should I just keep quiet because they can blame me for killing the hdd?

That is normal and expected behavior.

You are shorting the USB jack by doing that. It turns off to prevent damage.
